Draft. The highlighted details in square brackets are still to be filled in, so this page isn't final yet.
Terms of use
Effective 4 November 2026. These terms cover the Globora mobile app and the website at europe.shaperk.com.
Globora is run by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS] ("we"). By creating an account, you agree to these terms. We've kept them short and plain, so please read them.
What Globora is
Globora helps groups plan a trip together: the route, each day's plan, bookings and tickets, shared costs, lists and travel details. It's a planning tool, and you stay in charge of your trip.
We aren't a travel agent
We don't sell or book travel, and we aren't part of any contract you make with an airline, hotel, insurer or anyone else. If something goes wrong with a booking, you'll need to deal with the company you booked with.
Check the important things yourself
- Bookings. What you see in Globora is what you or your travellers typed in or uploaded. Times, codes and places may be wrong or out of date. Always check them against your ticket or with the provider.
- The trip check. It looks for common gaps, such as a night with nowhere to sleep or a tight connection. It can miss problems, and it can flag things that are fine. A clean result doesn't mean your plan works.
- Reminders. We send trip emails to help, but they can arrive late or not at all. Don't rely on them to catch a flight or check in on time.
- Offline copies. The copy on your phone is only as recent as its last update. Someone may have changed the plan since.
- Directions, routes and distances. These are estimates, and links to maps come from other companies.
Passport and visa information isn't advice
Passport warnings are simple date checks, based on the expiry date you entered. Many countries have their own rules on how long a passport must last, and on visas and other entry requirements. Globora doesn't know those rules for your nationality and destination, and nothing in it tells you that you can enter a country. Check with the embassy, the authorities or your carrier before you travel. Any passport or visa preview in the app is only a view of what you saved. It isn't a travel document and can't be used as one.
Health and emergency details
You can store health notes and emergency contacts so they're easy to find. Globora isn't a medical service, gives no medical advice, and doesn't contact anyone for you. In an emergency, call the local emergency services.
Cost splitting is for information
Balances and suggested transfers are worked out from what your group enters. They're there to help you settle up, and they aren't a bill, a financial statement or financial advice. No money moves through Globora, and marking something as settled doesn't pay anyone. Exchange rates may differ from what you really paid. You and your travellers are responsible for checking the figures and sorting out any disagreement between yourselves.
Your account
- You need to be at least 16 to create an account.
- Use your own email address and keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us if you think someone else has got in.
- You can delete your account at any time. See the delete account page.
Shared trips
- A trip's owner can change its settings, add and remove travellers, and delete it. If the owner deletes a trip, it's gone for everyone.
- Every traveller linked to a trip can see and change its plan, bookings, tickets, expenses and lists. Only add people you trust.
- Only invite someone to a trip if you know them. Adding someone's email address gives them an invitation, and they join only if they accept it. Anyone who has joined can leave a trip at any time, except its owner.
- A trip's calendar link can be opened by anyone who has it, without signing in. Keep it private.
- If you delete your account, your name stays on shared trips for the group's balances, and what you added to them stays for the group. The delete account page explains this.
Your content
What you put in Globora stays yours. You give us permission to store it, copy it for backups and offline use, and show it to you and the travellers you share it with, only so we can run the service. You're responsible for having the right to upload it, including anything about other people.
Fair use
Please don't use Globora to:
- break the law, or harass, deceive or harm anyone;
- upload malicious files, or anything you've no right to share, including someone else's documents without their permission;
- add someone to a trip to annoy them or to see their details;
- try to get into accounts or data that aren't yours, overload the service, or get around its limits.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we'll tell you why unless the law stops us or it would make a security problem worse.
Price
Globora has no ads or in-app purchases. If we ever plan to charge for something, we'll tell you first, and you won't pay anything unless you agree to it.
The service can change
We work to keep Globora running, but it can be unavailable at times, and some features rely on other companies' services. We may change or stop features, and we may ask you to update the app to keep using it. If we plan to close the service, we'll give you reasonable notice so you can save what you need. Please keep your own copies of important tickets and documents.
Our responsibility to you
We provide Globora free of charge and "as is". As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for missed travel, lost bookings, refused entry, costs between travellers, or indirect losses that come from using or being unable to use it.
Nothing in these terms limits anything the law says we can't limit, such as liability for death or injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your rights as a consumer where you live.
App stores
If you downloaded the app from Apple's App Store or Google Play, their own terms also apply to the download. These terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google, and they aren't responsible for the app or its support.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for changes that matter, tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of [JURISDICTION], and its courts have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in its courts.
